　　Appearance可以分为两类，一类是这个人的长相，因为这个人非常beautiful, 我不自觉的被他/她所吸引，于是我们才成了朋友;另一类是这个人的整体的穿着，比如我的朋友穿衣打扮很有品质，很有气质，在认识她之后，我的形象也有了很大的改变。

　　personality, 即性格。描述性格常用的是形容词+细节的描述方式。即在使用一个形容词之后，要接着用例子、个人经历等等细节将形容词解释清楚。例如，He is very helpful. 那么究竟how helpful? 可以说He’s always been there for me whenever I’m in trouble. I can’t even remember how many times he has saved me out of mess. 这就是很棒的细节。

　　work以指工作，例如工作认真之类的。或者可以指作品，例如He’s really good at singing. His voice/lyrics makes me forget about all those problems. 这一项理由，在描述一个歌手、演员、诗人、作者、偶像等等的时候，非常有用。

　　对于部分考生来说，有些词汇考生自己说起来都会觉得不好意思，因为实在词穷，用来用去都用烂了。夸漂亮一定是beautiful, 夸性格好一定是nice、friendly、outgoing, 夸认真工作一定是hardworking, 夸作品好一定是good。翻来覆去的使用的都是一样的词汇，自然不会帮助我们*。我们在托福口语考试中要使用一些可以打动人心的词汇。比如：
